Winter break workshops for kids at Nationalmuseum Design

28th of February – 2nd of March 2017

Winter break workshops for kids at Nationalmuseum Design, Kulturhuset Stockholm.

Everything is designed! The subway, the jeans, the mobile phone, the armchair, the glass package and the house you live in. Who finds out what things look like and why do they look like they do?

Johanna Törnqvist is a Swedish contemporary designer who works with recycling. Her project raises thoughts about consumption, environment and sustainability, but also what design and craftiness can be. She works on the basis of a material we currently have in abundance – trash. With craftsmanship, she turns it into something refined and beautiful, often with reflection.
